In July of 1998 the THS Alumni Scholarship Fund was started with a generous $3,000.00 gift from the Bank of Tescott. The Fund is administered through the Twin Valley Schools USD 240 Scholarship Endowment Trust Agreement.

Scholarships are to be awarded each year to THS graduating seniors depending on the amount of income the fund has generated. To date, five scholarships have been awarded.

At the present time(May 2003) the balance in the Fund is approximately $6,000. Contributions to the fund are accepted at any time and checks should be made payable to USD 240 and mailed to:

Salina, Kansas, 67401.

In 2002 over $500.00 was received in memorials for a former teacher. So whether you wish to just make a personal donation or designate the fund as a memorial for someone, the money will be used to help a THS graduate with college expenses.

Only the income and/or earnings from the fund may be used for the scholarships. If earnings are not sufficient to fund a scholarship, the Tescott Alumni may add additional funds for distribution in that year.
