Mary Jo Berthelson
200 E. 1st St
Tescott, KS 67484

I graduated in 1967 in Colorado but often came to Tescott to visit my grandparents, Frank and Ida Berthelson and my great-uncle and family, Walt, Arlene, Dean, Darrell and Dee Ann Hannebaum. My grandparents left the farm in 1965 but until then "stealing" watermelons from my grandpa's patch was a favorite past time of the Tescott boys. This went on for many, many years because my dad, who graduated from THS in 1929, talks about his friends "stealing" watermelons from grandpa's patch. It was a town tradition.
